The Bulldog Havri

Welcome to the Havri!

This is the actual jail block of an former Amsterdam police station. At Leidseplein this Coffeeshop is in an amazing location. You can reach many of the famous Amsterdam sights like the Van Gogh Museum with a short walk.

Take a seat on one of the jail benches, or just walk upstairs to the Palace. The Palace offers a great food and drinks.

The Bulldogs offers a fine selection of different herbs. You will be pleased by the quality and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is one of the best located coffeeshops in town and probably one of the most visited as well. Bring some time for your visit, because the place can be very busy.

During my first trip to the city, this was the place where I learned about the quality of netherweed. On the way from the Airport to Amsterdam Centraal, the train attendant announced: “Watch out for pickpockets, we have the best in the world.”. While I sat there in the Havri for a while, I realized that this was true and instantly got happy about the video surveillance all around the city. Just keep in mind to watch your back while walking around the city.

So after your visit you can take a walk or a tram to the Bloemenmarkt and visit Easy Times.
