Siberië
CoffeeshopAbout
Open since 1984, Siberië sits on the Brouwersgracht a few minutes' walk from Centraal Station and just off the Haarlemmerstraat. It's central without being on the tourist circuit — the location pulls in enough locals that the room doesn't feel like a stop on an itinerary.
The space is long and narrow with the counter at the back, art on the walls, and big communal tables set up for sitting rather than passing through — there are games and a pinball machine, and canal views from the front. Order at the counter and it's brought to your table. The menu runs from Amsterdam standards through to Cali strains, with pre-rolls for people who'd rather not roll, and staff are trained in-house to talk through what's what. Vegan brownies are a fixture, and the coffee is taken more seriously than at most shops.
